This bas-relief concrete wall proposal for the Columbia Heights Metro stop in Washington, D.C. highlights the original 1800’s horse racetrack that was located at the current metro site. A dynamic bas-relief of galloping horses rises along the wall as metro visitors ride the escalator, inviting viewers to reflect on the site’s layered past.
