Creative Design Resolutions, Inc.’s aesthetic design for this pedestrian park interprets Crown Plaza’s theme of “innovation” as a tribute to those in pursuit of discovery and originality. At the center of the respite area is a large circular ring of pavers engraved with quotations from innovators, artists, musicians, and authors. This central feature is bordered and intersected by three smaller rings within the Crown Plaza Park hardscape. Colorful concrete treatments, curvilinear benches, circular planter walls, and thoughtful landscaping contribute to the character of this educational and restful pocket park in the heart of the redeveloped Crown neighborhood in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
