Commissioned by a Chesapeake seaman to honor the local watermen, this custom bronze sculpture depicts a Tonger as he sweeps his tong from the water in the act of gathering oysters. Focusing on the strength of the man as he balances on his cramped and cluttered boat, this sculpture pays tribute to this solitary man and his work.
